If sharing GIFs is your kind of thing, there are ways to go about doing so. For example apps such as WhatsApp and Messenger already come with built-in search tools that lets users find GIFs and attach it to their messages. However if you wanted a potentially more efficient way of finding GIFs to share, the latest Giphy update might be of interest to you.

The app has recently been updated where it will now come with keyboard extension support for iOS. What this means is that users will be able to search for GIFs directly from the keyboard instead of having to dive into the menu or download the image and then send it to their contacts. This is expected to work on apps that support the use of multimedia, such as Mail, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messages, and more.

The update also introduces a new Sticker Maker feature that seems to be exclusive to Apple’s iPhone X, Xs, Xs Max, and the XR. As you might have guessed, this is because the feature will take advantage of the TrueDepth camera system found on these iPhones that will be able to turn their selfies into a custom animated GIF which you can then share on various messaging apps.

The update is already live so if you haven’t downloaded the app or the update yet, head on over to the App Store to get your hands on it.
