The Nintendo Switch is mostly seen as a video game console, but due to its portable nature, it does hold the potential to be a lot more. For those who are hoping to get more out of their console than just games, then you might be interested to learn that InkyPen Comics has announced that they will be launching on the Switch soon.

For those unfamiliar with InkyPen Comics, this is a comic book subscription service. They are not the first of their kind, but they will be a first for the Nintendo Switch once the service goes live on the 17th of December. However for those who are hoping to get their hands on more mainstream comics, you might be disappointed.

This is because InkyPen is mostly aimed at users who are looking for indie comics, which in a way is perfect for the Switch because the console is also known to play home to quite a few indie titles. It will be priced at $8 a month and you will be able to access its entire catalogue (availability might depend on your region as well).

We’ve seen how the Switch is slowly starting to incorporate non-gaming apps, such as Hulu which was the first streaming service to launch on the console back in 2017, and just last month YouTube was also made available for the Switch.
