#CES2019 – If you’re looking to outfit your home with a smart thermostat, there are several options available in the market at the moment. At CES 2019, Honeywell has taken the wraps off two new smart thermostat systems in the form of the Honeywell T9 and T10 Pro, although it should be pointed out that these aren’t compatible with Apple’s HomeKit platform.

However they are compatible with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, so if you own devices likes the Google Home or Amazon Echo, or have a smartphone with either digital assistant installed on it, then you should not have any issues controlling the T9 or T10 Pro using your voice.

Both the new thermostats from Honeywell will come with room sensors. The use of the sensors means that it will help detect how many people there are in the room, which will help prevent cold and hot zones, so obviously in a room with more people, it can get quite hot so the temperature will then be reduced, and vice versa.

According to Honeywell, up to 20 sensors can be installed at once and should be capable of covering up to 200 feet of your home. The T9 is priced at $199 while the T10 Pro can be purchased through authorized contractors, and both devices are expected to be made available this spring.
