For those who might be a bit concerned about the fate of Motorola’s Z-series of phones, it seems that you needn’t be because the company could be working on a new model in the form of the Moto Z4. In a video posted by CompareRaja with @OnLeaks, it shows the alleged renders of that of the Moto Z4 Play.

For the most part the Moto Z4 looks like what you would expect from a Motorola handset. The company also looks to be adopting an edgeless display with a small water drop notch at the top of the phone. There is also a connector on the back which is where the Moto Mods are meant to be attached, and from what we can tell, it will feature a single camera. The lack of a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone suggests that the device could sport an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The report claims that the phone might have a 6.2-inch display, a USB-C port, and it looks to be retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack. Other than that it is unclear as to what kind of specs we can expect. That being said, hopefully it will be “better” than the Moto Z3, which despite it being released in 2018, featured specs from 2017. There is also no word on when the phone will be released, but with CES 2019 kicking off next week, perhaps we might learn more then, if not at MWC 2019 next month.
