In the past, Apple’s MacBook Pros consisted of 15-inch and 17-inch models, but Apple later did away with the 17-inch model in favor of a 13-inch model. However we’re sure that there are probably users out there who might be missing the larger 17-inch model, but we have some good news for you.

According to notable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he claims that Apple could be introducing a larger MacBook Pro this year. The rumored laptop is expected to be packing a 16-inch display and could also be featuring a brand new design. The latter makes sense as Apple has been keeping to the same design for years now, so a design refresh is not entirely out of the question.

The choice of a 16-inch display is rather interesting as most of the time, laptops tend to be offered in 11, 13, 15, or 17-inch options, so 16-inches does seem a bit odd. Kuo also claims that the new MacBook Pros could support up to 32GB of RAM. We should note that the current MacBook Pros do support 32GB of RAM, although there are some concessions that had to be made.

Kuo has typically been pretty accurate with his reports, so there is a chance that he could be right about this. However until Apple officially announces anything, do take it with a grain of salt for now.
