Apple has officially introduced the all-new MacBook Pro, marking a major milestone as the company’s first touchscreen Mac. Powered by the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, this high-end laptop features a completely redesigned, thinner, and lighter form factor alongside cutting-edge display technology.

The headline feature is the PROLED XDR display, which replaces previous Mini-LED panels with tandem OLED technology. This upgrade increases peak HDR brightness to 2000 nits and introduces intuitive touch capabilities to the macOS ecosystem for the first time. Professional users can now interact directly with content, facilitating tasks such as manipulating 3D models and playing on-screen musical instruments.

In addition to touch support, the screen replaces the traditional notch with the Dynamic Island, serving as a centralized hub for Spotlight, Live Activities, and Siri AI. The physical design also revives the classic light-up Apple logo on the exterior lid.

Performance configurations support up to 128GB of unified memory and 16TB of solid-state drive storage. Despite the advanced hardware, the physical footprint has been reduced. The 14-inch model weighs 3 pounds with dimensions of 0.59 x 12.24 x 8.52 inches, while the 16-inch model weighs 4 pounds with dimensions of 0.63 x 14 x 9.62 inches. Biometric security continues to rely on Touch ID, as Face ID and built-in cellular connectivity are not included in this release.

Available in silver and space black, finishes can be paired with standard or nano-texture display options. Pricing starts at $2899 for the 14-inch variant and $3399 for the 16-inch version. Pre-orders are open immediately, with official deliveries scheduled to begin on November 6.
