Many are no doubt looking forward to see what OnePlus might have up their sleeves with the OnePlus 7, and the good news is that you might not have to wait much longer to find out. This is thanks to a post on Twitter by Ishan Agarwal who shared a leak in which it suggests that OnePlus could be hosting an event on the 14th of May in which the OnePlus 7 could be shown off.

OnePlus typically launches two smartphones a year, with one model set for the first half of the year, while the second model is usually reserved for the second half of the year, so a launch in May doesn’t seem to be entirely out of the question. The company has yet to officially confirm a date so while it does seem likely that a first-half year launch is in the cards, when exactly remains to be seen.

In terms of specs and features, we have heard the rumors that the OnePlus 7 will be packing the latest hardware that one might expect from your typical flagship smartphone of 2019. This means the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, possibly 8GB of RAM (or more), and last we saw, it might ditch the notch in favor of a popup camera. This would make it an interesting design choice as previously OnePlus seemed pretty set with the notch.

Either way as we said, take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully we’ll find out more details soon.
