The OnePlus 7 is coming soon and if the rumors are to be believed, the handset could be officially announced on the 14th of May. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but it looks like in the meantime, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has teased that more information will be shared next week.

According to a tweet posted by Lau, he asks his followers to check back with him next Tuesday, which is the 23rd of April, 2019. As per his announcement, this will not be the official launch of the OnePlus 7, but rather it appears that this will simply be a date for the launch of the handset, which will most likely end up being the 14th of May.

As some have pointed out in the comments, this is an announcement for an announcement, but either way it’ll still be official. The OnePlus 7 will mark the company’s first flagship smartphone for the first half of 2019. Based on the rumors, we have heard that there could be multiple variants of the handset, including a “Pro” version with triple cameras, and another version that could launch with support for 5G.

Either way, check back with us next Tuesday where hopefully we’ll have more information to share.
