From what we can tell based on third-party reports, the Apple Watch is selling pretty well. We’re not sure why Apple has yet to officially confirm the actual figures, so for now, we’ll have to rely on third-party data, such as those from Counterpoint Research who recently revealed that the Apple Watch is continuing to dominate the market in a very big way.

According to their numbers, the Apple Watch is said to account for 35.8% of the smartwatch market. This effectively means that one out of every three smartwatches sold is an Apple Watch. The company that probably comes the closest would be Samsung, but even then at 11.1%, it is still a far cry from the Apple Watch.

Coming in third place is a company called imoo, which if you have never heard of them, we can’t say we blame you. Fourth place actually goes to Fitbit who accounts for 5.5% of the smartwatch market, putting them very, very far behind the Apple Watch. However, to be fair, Fitbit is probably more known for their fitness trackers which are much more affordable alternatives for users who only want to track their workouts.

The Apple Watch is set to dominate for a very long time, or at least until 2022 according to some analysts. They believe that it is possible that other platforms, such as Google’s Wear OS, could eventually see improvements where it would allow Wear OS gadgets to catch up to the Apple Watch. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen.
