For the most part, hacking is considered an illegal activity. Unfortunately, despite its illegal nature, many still go about doing it. Sometimes, and only sometimes, those efforts pay off where there are some companies and organizations who are so grateful and/or impressed with the hackers that they offer them a job instead of pursuing legal charges against them.

That was kind of what an Australian teen was hoping for, where a couple of years ago, he successfully hacked Apple. According to reports, the teen was actually hoping that he could land himself a job with the company as he had heard that another hacker from Europe who managed to do the same thing.

While the teen will not be landing himself a job at Apple, the good news is that he won’t be going to jail either. The teen, who started the hacks back when he was 13, was found by an Australian magistrate as not using his skill set for malicious purposes, but was simply doing so out of his fascination of technology and Apple. He has also said to be using his skills for good since.

He is currently out on an AUD$500 good behavior bond for nine months, and where he also has plans to eventually study digital security and criminology at university in the future.
