For the most part, it feels that whenever Apple releases software for Windows, it’s more about just releasing it for the sake of it, where they begrudgingly admit that not all iOS users necessarily use Macs. If you’ve ever tried accessing your iCloud drive on a Windows computer, you know that this experience is vastly different compared to using it on a Mac.

However, the good news is that it looks like Apple has decided to upgrade its iCloud app where they have released a new iCloud app designed for Windows. With this upgraded/new version of iCloud, it will make it easier for Windows users to share files between their computers and their iOS devices.

Given the sheer number of Windows users in the world, we wouldn’t be surprised if a good number of them used iPhones and iPads and wouldn’t mind better support on Windows. According to Microsoft, “You can easily access your photos, videos, mail, calendar, files and other important information from your iCloud account on the go and on your Windows 10 PC. iCloud is home to iCloud Drive, iCloud Photos, Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Safari Bookmarks and more.”

So, if you are an iOS user on a Windows machine and would like better integration and access to your iCloud storage, then head on over to the Microsoft Store to get your hands on it.
