Gaming headsets are great because they afford gamers better privacy. It can also provide better quality audio and even directional audio if the game supports it, but the downside is that it can sometimes get a bit heavy and uncomfortable to use for prolonged periods of time. That is a problem Razer thinks that they can solve.

The company has recently announced its latest gaming headset in the form of the Kraken X. This is not Razer’s first time launching a gaming headset, but according to the company, this could be their lightest gaming headset to date, not to mention it will also be more affordable than its predecessor.

According to Razer, “Even the affordable new Kraken X headset will feature 7.1 surround sound instead of stereo audio seen on competitive budget-friendly gaming headsets. Delivering a true competitive advantage, the 7.1 surround sound software provides accurate positional audio in the middle of battle. It is a critical gaming element that helps pinpoint where the danger is coming from. 7.1 surround sound is available with the Kraken X on Windows 10 64-bit.”

If the Razer Kraken X sounds like a pair of headphones you wouldn’t mind getting your hands on, it is now officially available for purchase where it is priced at $50.
