When Apple launched the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR last year, we’re sure that the company had anticipated that it would be a smashing success. While it was definitely no flop, it was not quite the hot seller as anticipated, largely due to the prices set by the company which priced the phone way out of budget for most.

However, it seems that the company is pretty optimistic about this year because according to a report from Bloomberg, Apple has allegedly instructed its manufacturing partners to maintain the same production cycle as last year, where they are anticipating the same demand for iPhones this year as last.

The company has never reported its production levels in the past, so it is unclear exactly how many units we could be looking at. That being said, we reckon that there is a good chance Apple could meet or even exceed the demand this year. This is because what we’ve come realize is that the iPhone XR, the cheapest of the trio, is actually the best-seller.

With Apple reportedly planning a successor to the iPhone XR with a dual camera setup, we reckon it would make the handset even more compelling than before. Either way, we’ll have to wait and see. The new iPhones are expected to be launched later in the year, possibly around September if Apple keeps to schedule.
