Ever since Apple introduced the Apple Pencil to the iPad, many have been wondering if there could ever be a time when the Apple Pencil could eventually support the iPhone. So far, the stylus has been an exclusive to the iPad lineup, but now according to a report from Business Insider, that could change with the 2019 iPhones.

According to the publication, they cite a report from Citi Research in which the company’s analysts are suggesting that Apple Pencil support will finally arrive for the iPhone. It has been about 4 years since the Apple Pencil was first introduced, so we guess now’s as good a time as any to introduce it.

This is not the first time we’ve heard rumors in the past that Apple Pencil support could be coming. Back in August last year, it was reported that Apple had also signed with a new supplier for the Apple Pencil which could bring support to the iPhone, although that did not happen with the 2018 iPhones.

Whether or not it will arrive for 2019’s iPhones remains to be seen, so take it with a grain of salt for now. However, if you do enjoy using the Apple Pencil and wouldn’t mind using it together with the iPhone, then this could be something to keep an eye out for.
