Back in March, Apple announced an upcoming subscription service called Apple Arcade. For those who are unfamiliar, Apple Arcade is a monthly subscription in which for a flat fee, Apple customers will be able to access a library of games, some of which will be exclusive to Apple Arcade.

This is versus the current ala carte model in which gamers pay per game. However, Apple did not mention how much the upcoming service would cost, but thanks to the folks at 9to5Mac, they have learnt that a subscription to Apple Arcade is expected to cost $4.99 a month and will also come with a one-month free trial, although the latter doesn’t really come as a surprise.

We have to say that at $4.99, it seems rather affordable and could be good news for those who might have been worried that the service would be too expensive. However, as 9to5Mac notes, Apple has yet to officially confirm the pricing so there is a chance that it could change upon its release, but hopefully it won’t.

There is also currently no word on when Apple Arcade will be released, but it is expected to be launched alongside iOS 13 which should be released in the coming month or two.
