So iOS 13 was released not too long ago but it seems that the update is already causing some issues with certain games, namely games like PUBG and Fortnite Battle Royale. According to reports, it seems that gamers are accidentally bringing up the text editing feature during sessions of PUBG and Fortnite.

In case you’re unfamiliar, one of the new features introduced to iOS 13 is gestures to bring up text editing. Basically, when users tap and hold on the screen with three fingers, it will bring up a text editor feature. However, as you can imagine, this has created some conflict with existing games where the feature pops up and users can’t dismiss it, resulting in them losing their games without meaning to.

The developers of PUBG are aware of this and in a statement, have advised gamers from updating to iOS 13 until the issue has been resolved. “We are aware of an issue for players who upgraded to iOS 13.0, where touching the screen with 3 fingers will trigger an iOS function and interrupt the game.”

“We have already raised the issue with Apple, and we will continue working with them to resolve the issue. We suggest players who play the game with 3 or more fingers do not upgrade to iOS 13.0 until this issue is resolved.” It has been suggested that iOS 13.1, due for a release tomorrow, fixes the issue, so you’ll have to wait until then.
