It has been rumored for a while that Apple could be working on a new 16-inch MacBook Pro. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but it’s starting to look like it could. This is according to French Apple website, MacGeneration, where they have uncovered images in the macOS Catalina 10.15.1 beta that hints at the laptop.

One of those images (see above) shows a laptop that looks very much like the 15-inch MacBook Pro. However, the file name does mention the number “16” in it, which has led to speculation that this could indeed be the rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro. We have heard rumors that the design of the laptop could look remarkably similar to the 15-inch MacBook Pro, except with thinner bezels.

This will result in a laptop that will be similar in size to the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but yet manage to sport a larger display. Also, when compared side-by-side to the image that Apple uses for the 15-inch MacBook Pro, the differences are a lot more noticeable. As to when the laptop will be announced, it was previously rumored that it could come this year with a new keyboard design, but recent reports are suggesting that maybe it could come in 2020 instead.

Apple is also rumored to announce their new AirPods towards the end of October, but whether it will be announced at an event where the MacBook Pro could also announced, or if it might simply be released to the Apple Store, remains to be seen, so take it with a grain of salt for now.
