If you are thinking about getting your hands on an iPad Pro, you might want to hold off until 2020. This is because according to reports, it has been suggested that Apple might not refresh the iPad Pro this year, meaning that for the sake of futureproofing, holding off until next year might be a good idea if you don’t have the need for it right now.

This is according to Apple’s chief financial officer Luca Maestri who during Apple’s earnings call, said that Apple’s revenue guidance for the holiday quarter accounts for the iPad Pro having a different launch timing on a year-over-year basis. This has led to speculation that there is a good chance that the iPad Pro refresh might not take place until 2020.

There have been reports suggesting that the refresh could happen in March 2020, so the comments made by Maestri seemingly corroborates those claims. It has been pointed out that Apple usually refreshes its 12.9-inch iPad Pro every 18 months or so, so it makes sense that we might not see a refresh this year for that particular model.

It is possible that Apple could still refresh the tablet this year, but if they don’t, don’t be surprised. Either way, we’ll be keeping an eye out for it.
