When the AirPods were first launched, many mocked the design of the earbuds, but the naysayers were quickly proven wrong as it was later revealed to be one of Apple’s best-selling products in recent years and was a hit amongst customers. It turns out that Apple might have struck gold twice.

In a report from the Nikkei Asian Review, it has been revealed that demand for the new AirPods Pro is so strong that Apple is now being forced to double the production of the earbuds. The company is now expected to boost production to as many as 2 million units a month. While we don’t know how many units Apple has sold to date, the fact that they are boosting it to 2 million units a month does give us an idea since Apple would probably avoid producing more than what the market demands.

In case you’re hearing about this for the first time, the AirPods Pro was launched last month where it was a “pro” version of the AirPods. It offered up better audio quality and also comes with noise-cancelling features, something that other competitors have beaten Apple to in the recent months.

It is also more expensive than the regular AirPods, but it seems that despite the difference in price, customers are still biting.
