The rumors that Apple has a 16-inch MacBook Pro in the works has been floating about for a while now. It was originally said that the laptop could be announced in October, but that clearly did not happen. However, it seems that we could be close to seeing the laptop being officially announced.

This is according to a report from 9to5Mac in which they have heard that Apple has been holding or could be holding a private press briefing this week, in which it has been speculated that it could be to give select members of the press an early preview and briefing of the new 16-inch MacBook Pro.

If this is true, then it could be possible that the laptop could actually be announced this week, around mid-week at the earliest. There is no way to actually confirm if this will happen, but either way we won’t have to wait too long to find out. There has also been mounting evidence suggesting that such a laptop is in the works, where images and references have actually been spotted in Apple’s latest macOS release.

What makes this laptop particularly exciting is that it will be Apple’s biggest laptop in recent years ever since they dropped the 17-inch model from their lineup. It has also been rumored to feature a redesigned keyboard where we will see Apple kill the butterfly switch mechanism in favor of something more traditional.
