In June earlier this year, Apple announced a brand new Mac Pro computer. Unlike the previous-gen Mac Pro which kind of killed the upgradability of the Mac Pro, the new workstation offers up a more familiar tower case design that will allow users to better configure the computer to their liking.

Now, Apple did previously announce that they would be launching the computer in the fall, and now as part of the announcement which unveiled the new 16-inch MacBook Pro, Apple has confirmed that its brand new Mac Pro workstation will begin shipping out to customers this coming December.

According to Apple, the new Mac Pro will be priced starting at $5,999 for the base model. This will come with an 8-core Intel Xeon processor clocked at 3.5GHz. There will also be an AMD Radeon Pro 580X GPU accompanying it, alongside 32GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage, but all of this will be configurable depending on your needs, although we heard that a fully specced out Mac Pro could cost as much as $50,000.

That being said, clearly this new Mac Pro is aimed at professionals who might have the need for such high-end performance and don’t mind paying for it, but if you don’t mind splashing that kind of cash, then December is when you will be able to get your hands on it.
