In recent years, a company by the name of Devialet has made a name for itself with a futuristic-looking speaker in the form of the Devialet Phantom. The speaker, known for its unique design, also boasts the ability to produce sound that would otherwise cost customers thousands of dollars to replicate, which is truly impressive considering its overall size.

Now it looks like Devialet and Huawei have teamed up which has resulted in a smart speaker known as the Sound X. Now, before Devialet fans get too excited, it should be noted that for now, the Sound X speaker is only available in China so don’t expect to see it arrive stateside anytime soon.

The speaker’s design, which is reminiscent of Apple’s HomePod, will feature a 60 watt double subwoofer and offers 360-degree sound. It comes with Devialet’s speaker active matching technology and also comes with Huawei’s HiLink smart home control and the company’s Xiaoyi digital assistant.

We’re not sure how it will sound like in terms of audio quality, but we have to say that it looks pretty good and pretty sleek. It will be priced at around $285, which is a fraction of the price that Devialet charges for its Phantom speakers, so color us interested and cross your fingers in hopes that we might see it arrive stateside in the future.
