A couple of weeks ago, a report from the CIRP suggested that Apple’s iPhone 11 was outselling its “Pro” siblings. It looks like the report is pretty spot on because according to Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, he has confirmed that the iPhone 11 is the best-selling iPhone during the holiday quarter, where it was the top-selling iPhone every week for the month of December.

While Cook did not provide any figures as to how many units Apple has sold of the iPhone 11, it shouldn’t really come as a surprise. This is because Apple found themselves in a similar situation with the iPhone XR, where it managed to beat out its more expensive siblings in the iPhone XS and XS Max.

For those unfamiliar, the iPhone 11 is the successor to 2018’s iPhone XR. While it still continues to use an LCD screen, it did come with an upgrade where it now uses a dual camera instead of a single camera, which essentially almost puts it on par with the 2018 iPhone XS and XS Max, except that with a slightly more affordable price tag.

We imagine that Apple will want to continue that trend this year. In fact, there have been rumors suggesting that Apple might launch an even cheaper iPhone in the form of the iPhone SE 2, where it will be priced considerably cheaper, while packing specs that would give it performance similar to the iPhone 8.
