Towards the end of 2019, Apple announced the 16-inch MacBook Pro. This was the first of its kind where previous models either came in a 13-inch or 15-inch variant. The company has yet to officially refresh the 16-inch model, but it seems that a 2020 refresh could indeed be in the works.

This was revealed by none other than Apple themselves where according to the latest update to Boot Camp, Apple’s answer to dual booting Windows and macOS, they make mention of a 2020 16-inch MacBook Pro. Now obviously this computer does not exist, at least not officially, so either Apple made a mistake or they accidentally revealed a new computer.

The company is largely expected to host another event this coming November where they will reveal new computers. The event is said to most likely revolve around introducing the first official batch of Apple Silicon powered Mac computers, but given that Apple will take two years to make the full transition, it is possible that new Intel-based laptops could also be announced, like a refresh of the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

It was suggested that Apple might take things slow with the transition where they might start out with lower-end and less powerful Macs before touching the Pro lineup, so it is possible that this 16-inch MacBook Pro will be of the Intel variety. Either way we’ll have to wait and see.
