Browser tabs allow users to visit multiple websites at once. This has become a standard feature on desktops, but on tablets, it offers a slightly different experience. However, if you’re an iPad user who would like a more desktop like browsing experience using Chrome on your tablet, you’re in luck.

This is because Google has finally updated its Chrome app on the iPad where it will now support multiple windows. Chrome on the iPad has supported multiple tabs in the past, but now with the latest update, the app will now support multiple windows at once, which means that users will be able to browse websites on their iPads and keep two windows open side-by-side, so that they can view multiple websites simultaneously.

Apple’s iPad has long supported the use of multiple windows, and while this might have been a feature taken advantage of by Apple’s own native apps, it’s a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to third-party apps. It did take Google some time before they eventually introduced multiple window support for Chrome, but we suppose it’s better late than never.

You will need to have the latest version of Chrome installed on your iPad for this to work, so make sure that you have installed the latest update and you should be good to go.
