If the rumors are to be believed, Apple could be developing a foldable iPhone of its own, but the question is what would such a device look like? Thanks to designer Svyatoslav Alexandrov, a video has been published onto the ConceptsiPhone YouTube page that gives us a look at what such a handset could look like if it were to be made.

Basically in this video, it seems that the designer has taken the iPhone 12’s design and merged them together. When the device is folded shut, it looks like a regular iPhone, albeit thicker, but when unfolded, it transforms into an iPad-like device with an 8-inch display, making it slightly larger than the iPad mini.

However, given the aspect ratio of the iPhone’s display, this ends up looking more square-ish compared to the iPad, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. The larger screen real estate means that users will have more space to type or write on, especially if Apple Pencil support is part of it, plus it will be great to surf the web on, play games, and so on.

However, it should be noted that earlier rumors of the foldable iPhone claim that Apple will actually be adopting a clamshell like design instead of a tablet hybrid like in the video above. That being said, it could be years before we see such a device as recent reports claim that it will only launch in 2024 at the earliest, if at all.
