Every year without fail, Apple hosts its WWDC conference in the middle of the year. Last year was the first time Apple held it virtually which actually proved to be a successful formula, leading the company to host the rest of its events virtually with pre-recorded videos. This year appears to be no different.

Apple has since officially announced that they will be hosting a digital WWDC event from the 7th to the 11th of June, 2021. As expected from the event, it will be mostly software-focused where Apple will showcase the future of platforms like iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and iPadOS, as well as providing developers with tools and information on how to best develop for Apple’s platforms.

According to Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations and Enterprise and Education Marketing, “We love bringing our developers together each year at WWDC to learn about our latest technologies and to connect them with Apple engineers. We are working to make WWDC21 our biggest and best yet, and are excited to offer Apple developers new tools to support them as they create apps that change the way we live, work, and play.”

What’s interesting is that Apple has actually announced its plans for WWDC 2021 even though the rumors claim that there is actually another event planned for April that we have yet to get word about. Hopefully Apple will have some details about that soon, but in the meantime, at the very least WWDC 2021 has been confirmed.
