A week ago, Apple announced their new iPad Pros. The new tablets have recently gone on sale but it seems that if you were still on the fence about whether or not to get it, you could now be facing massive shipping delays. This is because according to a report from Bloomberg, it looks like shipping times for the new iPad Pros are slipping.

Of course, this will depend on the model that you have chosen, but we are looking at shipping estimates between 6-8 weeks for some models, which means that if you order now, you might only be able to expect to receive it earliest mid-June, or latest by the end of June. This is pretty crazy and we have to wonder if popularity could be the reason behind the massive shipping delays or if it could be due to component shortage.

During Apple’s earnings call, CEO Tim Cook did warn that we could be looking at iPad and Mac shortages in the second half of 2021. This is said to be due to the global chip shortage which is affecting many companies around the world, not just Apple, so we’re not sure if the current shortage we’re seeing is due to this, or like we said, maybe it could be due to the massive popularity of the new iPads.

The new iPad Pros are certainly a lot more appealing compared to its predecessor. Not only does it sport the M1 chipset, but it also features a brand new mini LED display, making it a much more exciting upgrade compared to the 2020 refresh.
