Back in the day during the era of the Xbox 360, Microsoft ran into some controversy when it was discovered that Xbox gamers were encountering hardware issues with the console resulting in the dreaded red ring of death.

This basically symbolized that there was something wrong with the console’s hardware, whether it be a component failure, insufficient power from a faulty power supply, and so on. Thankfully, Microsoft’s Xbox consoles have since managed to avoid such problems, or at least not on the scale of the Xbox 360.

That being said, for those who do remember the good (bad?) old days of the Xbox 360, it appears that Microsoft has decided to start selling a red ring of death poster on its website as a little tongue-in-cheek thing. It measures 18-inches by 24-inches and is priced at $25. The launch is part of the Power On: The Story of Xbox docu-series which consists of six parts.

It details Microsoft’s console journey and efforts over the past couple of decades. It’s an interesting watch for those who are fans of the console or just want to learn more about the history of the Xbox. All the episodes are free to watch and are available across a variety of platforms, so head on over to Microsoft’s website if you’d like to learn more.
