LG Electronics has launched the 2026 Whisen Objet Collection Tower I and View I Pro air conditioners in South Korea, introducing a new proprietary cooling system known as AI Cold Free. This technology is designed to improve indoor comfort by managing both temperature and humidity more precisely than conventional air conditioners.
Traditional air conditioners reduce humidity by lowering the room temperature, which can make indoor spaces feel too cold. LG’s AI Cold Free system aims to address this issue with a two-stage heat exchanger. In the first stage, it removes moisture from the air, and in the second stage, it reheats the air to keep it at the user-specified temperature. The result is drier, cooler air without the sharp chill that is commonly associated with standard dehumidification.
LG has also upgraded its AI Airflow feature. The system uses radar sensors to detect a user’s location and monitor the surrounding environment. It responds dynamically, delivering stronger airflow when the temperature rises and then switching to gentler or more directional airflow as the room cools. This strategy aims to strike a balance between comfort and improved energy efficiency.
The 2026 lineup includes AI Voice Recognition, which is powered by a GPT-based engine and allows for natural language voice commands, answers usage-related questions, and suggests operating modes based on room conditions. An AI Sleep mode learns the user’s sleep patterns to adjust cooling behavior and reduce disruptions overnight.
Additional features focus on cleanliness and energy control, including a Filter Clean Bot that removes dust weekly, AI Heat Exchanger Cleaning triggered by environmental data, and specialized modes such as Away Energy Saving and Pet Care.
The display panel has been expanded from 4.3 inches to 6.8 inches, providing more detailed visibility into temperature, humidity, and dehumidification status.
The new Tower I and View I Pro models will begin rolling out on January 22, priced between KRW 4.2 million and KRW 5.97 million ($2,856–$4,060), depending on configuration. LG also recently announced other AI-focused products, including the CLOiD home robot.
