There were rumors that come BlizzCon 2019, Blizzard would finally take the wraps off Diablo IV, a game that many thought would be announced last year but was not. Sure enough, the rumors were true because Diablo IV has since been officially announced at the developer’s annual gaming event.
Ahead of BlizzCon 2019, there was a leak suggesting that Blizzard would be announcing a new World of Warcraft expansion, one that could possibly take players back to Icecrown and maybe encounter the Lich King again. It turns out that the rumors were sort of right as Blizzard has since taken the wraps off the Shadowlands expansion.
Overwatch was first released back in 2016 and was Blizzard’s first new IP in a very long time. It looks like Blizzard is definitely not wasting anytime because at BlizzCon 2019, about 3 years after the launch of the first Overwatch game, the developer has announced its sequel in the form of Overwatch 2.
