The origin story of Batman’s nemesis, the Joker, has been shrouded in mystery for decades as there doesn’t seem to be a definitive story of how the Joker character came to be. As some of you might have heard, there is a standalone Joker movie in the works directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix, and now its official teaser trailer has since been released.

If you were hoping to see more of Jared Leto’s Joker character in a possible standalone movie, you might be disappointed to learn that according to a report from Forbes, those movies have been shelved.
