Microsoft launched the Surface 3 tablet in March last year and it was released in most markets across the globe a few weeks later. This cheaper iteration of Microsoft’s Surface tablet turned out to be quite popular and performed well in the market but it appears to be quietly fading into oblivion almost two years after it was first launched.
It has been reported recently that Microsoft’s Surface 3 tablet is in short supply and getting your hands on one is proving to be difficult. Some suggested that perhaps Microsoft is reducing supply on its own and is now in the process of clearing inventory, and that’s really what it’s doing. The company has confirmed that it’s going to stop production of the Surface 3 tablet later this year.

With the Surface Pro 4 launch tipped to happen later this October, it is not surprising that some of us might think that there might not be too much time left for its predecessors in terms of hardware, and the next question would be, how far more would Microsoft go in order to support the older models? Fret not, as the updates for the Microsoft Surface 3 as well as […]

At the end of March this year, Microsoft made an announcement of their latest tablet, the Microsoft Surface 3, which is a device that Microsoft like to call “the full Windows experience”. The Surface 3 tablet was announced a couple of months ago, and given that this is an Intel-powered Surface tablet unlike previous non-Pro variants that ran on ARM, this also meant that users could install the full version of Windows. However those who were eager to install Windows 10 were told to hold off due to the lack of drivers. The good news is that it looks like those drivers are […]

In fact this is precise why Microsoft has also recently issued a warning on the Microsoft Community website telling Surface 3 owners to lay off Windows 10 for now.
We know for sure now that Windows RT has reached the end of the road and that Microsoft will not be reviving this iteration of its operating system. The company filled the gap with Surface 3, a relatively cheap new tablet that goes in sale in the country today. Microsoft is offering to pay up to $150 to anyone who trades in their old Windows RT powered tablet for a […]
