Sagem Binder ultra-light eReader launched

Sagem isn’t exactly famous in this part of the world where we reside in, but that doesn’t mean the company isn’t a force to be reckoned with – what with their latest Binder ultra-light eReader. It can be ordered from FNAC, the leading French retailer, as the “FnacBook”, while those who wait till November can get theirs via Telecom Italia as part of its digital publishing and eBook project. The Binder is pretty portable, boasting 152mm x 123mm x 10.7mm measurements that make it a whole lot smaller than an average paperback book, although don’t let its size fool you – it can still hold more than 12,000 non-illustrated books. Boasting e-paper technology, embedded 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, you get something which is pretty much on par with other eReaders in the market hardware-wise, but we know that the content delivery system is what separates the men from the boys. Hopefully this €199 device will be able to deliver via its online book store.
