Who loves pancakes? I think everyone loves pancakes, I hope. However if standing there and slaving over the stove to make pancakes for a family of 5-6 does not sound appealing to you, how about a robot that is made out Lego, make those pancakes for you instead? The robot can apparently make them in any shape you want, as you can see in the video below where it proceeds to make a Mickey Mouse shaped pancake.

This pancake-cooking bot is actually a 3-axis CNC-made robot that makes use of the Z coordinate as its Pancake Batter Dispenser Control. The program used was originally coded using Python NXT but due to some issues, the maker – Mexican Viking, decided to go back to using LEGO Mindstorms programming instead. How the images are created are based on text files using three coordinates, which basically tells the robot’s various motors what degree to turn and etc, in order to create the shape/design.

It looks like a pretty cool tool to use but unfortunately it’s not for sale. However the instructions from construction right up to the programming code can be found on Mexican Viking’s website, so if you’re looking to make your own Lego robot, head on down to his website. You can also check out the video below for a demonstration.
