TiVo Premiere Elite After being announced early last month, TiVo’s latest addition to its DVR line up is finally here. As of today, consumers will be able to purchase their very own TiVo Premiere Elite DVRs. What sets the Premiere Elite apart from other TiVo sets is the presence of four digital tuners and its massive 2-terabyte hard disk drive that lets you record tons of content. 300 hours of HD programming to be exact.

If you’re wondering why you need four tuners (you probably don’t, but it would be nice to have in certain situations); it will allow you to record four different shows, while you can watch a fifth one (that’s been previously recorded) – all at the same time! However you should take note that this high-end DVR only works with digital cable systems and does not work with analog cable or over-the-air antennas.

In addition to being a DVR, you get to enjoy web entertainment such as Netflix, Pandora, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video and YouTube on the TiVo itself. With THX certification and support for video from 480i all the way to 1080p, you be able to enjoy all your TV shows in the highest quality possible. The TiVo Premiere Elite also packs two USB 2.0 ports, eSATA for you to plug in extra hard disks in the event you exhaust the provided 2TB.

The TiVo Premiere Elite is available now online and from authorized dealers nationwide with an MSRP of $499.99.
