I remember when I first head of the brand name Edifier some years ago, and was wondering just how far the company would be able to go, competing with the likes of Altec Lansing and Cambridge Soundworks. Well, it seems that Edifier is still around, and they have smartly targeted the entry-level and mid-range markets with their devices, and have done rather well for themselves. One of the latest devices from Edifier’s stables would be the Edifier Tick Tock Alarm Clock, merging the classic round alarm clock design while incorporating modern features to boot. “Bells” that are meant to be in place on either side are actually 1.5″ omni-directional stereo speakers, delivering expansive 360-degree sound from Tick Tock’s 7-watt speaker drivers.

Not only that, there is also a large, bright, round LCD display which will let you know the time and date, alongside the alarm input selection. You can opt to have the standard issue alarm to ring when it is time to rise and shine, or decide your own fate with favorite tunes from your connected device via Bluetooth, or just depend on the random spins of the local FM radio. A 3.5mm jack is located at the back so that it can hook up to an external audio source. [Press Release]
