Samsung’s Bada platform might not necessarily be the most popular smartphone platform at the moment, but it looks like it might be seeing a new lease on life come 2013. Word on the street has it that Samsung could be unveiling a new smart TV at CES 2013, and that TV could be powered by none other than the South Korean company’s Bada platform. We know that Samsung already has a Google TV, so making a smart TV running on Bada would not be completely out of the picture. This smart TV is said to feature a simplified interface and offer a streaming service similar to the Apple TV, and thanks to its Bada platform, this will be a way for Samsung to introduce apps, content as well as a possible advertising platform for companies looking for some exposure. The exact specs and nature of this TV is unknown at this point, but if you’re interested in seeing what Samsung has to offer, CES 2013 will run in January next year so check back with us then for the details!
