ios-7-ipod-nano

Apple’s iOS 7 is expected to make its way to iOS devices this fall, which means iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users can expect the update to hit their devices soon. One iOS device most people tend to forget about is the iPod Nano, specifically the smaller, square version of the device, which is the 6th generation of the iPod Nano family. The 6th generation of the iPod Nano doesn’t run a full version of iOS, but Chris Harris decided to come up with a concept of what iOS 7 would look like running on the device.

Harris’ results are something that would certainly fit well with the simplicity of the 6th generation iPod Nano as iOS 7’s flat and simplified UI and icons seem like a more ideal fit for the device rather than the stripped-down version of iOS Apple originally released. Harris made some comments regarding his concept that points out his inspiration for creating it:

“I am not a ‘designer’ and I always choose clarity above style when I have my App Director hat on. Notice how the overly enlarged Safari circle, which some have called wrong, actually works really well in this particular situation.”
