Just last week we saw leaked screenshots of an upcoming Assassin’s Creed game called “Unity”. Ubisoft then confirmed the existence of the game which led to them releasing a trailer of it shortly after.

According to Ubisoft, the game will be scheduled for a release around the holiday season of 2014, meaning that by our estimates, it should be good to go by August or so. In the meantime it looks like there are several retailers who have already started to take pre-orders for the game.

For those who liked what they saw in the trailer and wouldn’t mind a Parisian-themed Assassin’s Creed game, you might be interested to learn that both Amazon and GameStop have opened up pre-orders for the game. Both retailers have priced at $60 and both have listed it to be released by the 31st of December 2014, which we’re guessing is just a placeholder date until the official release date can be confirmed.

It should be noted that Assassin’s Creed Unity will be designed for the PC, the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One only, meaning that if you have previous-gen consoles, you’d be out of luck. However if the rumors are to be believed, Ubisoft has another Assassin’s Creed title in the works that is known as “Comet” which will be for previous-gen consoles, although we’re not sure if this is the actual name of the game or just a codename.

So, who’s looking forward to playing Assassin’s Creed Unity?
