fleksy-keyboard-for-ios-8

When Apple detailed the features of iOS 8 earlier this week it revealed that the firmware will be able to support third party keyboards. Previously the company didn’t allow such solutions to replace its own system-wide keyboard. On the other hand Android users have had this ability for a long time.

Since iOS 8 enables users to install keyboards of their liking many popular developers have already started work. This includes Fleksy. The developers today gave a sneak peek of what Fleksy keyboard for iOS 8 looks like.

Apple also seeded the first beta of iOS 8 soon after the keynote was over. Registered developers have already got their hands on the new software. The developer showed off today that its keyboard is already working with the first beta of iOS 8.

An image was tweeted which shows off Fleksy running in the Messages application on iOS 8. Since the software itself isn’t ready for release, Fleksy keyboard for iOS 8 is also in beta. Interested developers can now register at the developer’s website to get an invitation to join and test it out.

This isn’t the only popular third party keyboard making its way to the next iOS iteration. Both SwiftKey and Swype have confirmed that they’re bringing their keyboards to iOS 8 which means that there will be a lot of choices available when iOS 8 finally ships to end users this fall.
