sensemeNot all ceiling fans are created the same, as you can tell by the Haiku with SenseME ceiling fan, which is touted to be the first of its kind in the world. This is a unique addition to any home, where it will boast of an on-board computer and an array of sensors to help it get going. After all, for those of us living in tropical countries where the heat can get unbearable at times, and yet we do not want to use too much electricity by turning on the air conditioner, a ceiling fan would fit the bill nicely.

With the Haiku with SenseME smart ceiling fan, it will boast of energy saving technology. By this, I mean the fan itself comes with the relevant array of sensors that will be able to tell whether you have entered or left a room, allowing it to turn the fan on and off automatically. In addition, the environmental sensors will also be capable of monitoring a room’s temperature and humidity levels, allowing it to adjust the fan’s speed when conditions change.

Take for instance, it being able to slow down the fan’s speed at night so that you do not end up waking up with a chill. In addition, over the course of time, such technology is capable of being aware of your comfort preferences, allowing future speed adjustments to be made within a range where you are most comfortable with. Those who are interested will be able to pick it up in 52″ and 60″ diameters, with the former covering an area of up to 15′ x 15′ while the latter is capable of handling an area the size of 20′ x 20′, where prices start from $1,045 onward.
