We all know that Apple fans are anxiously waiting for the day when the company is finally going to unveil a wearable device. Many of its rivals are already leagues ahead with their smartwatches and while Apple has said that it plans on entering new product categories, it hasn’t confirmed if a smartwatch is going to be its first wearable device. A report published today claims that Apple’s wearable device is going to be announced next month alongside the two new iPhone 6 models.

Earlier this year a senior executive at Apple said that this year the company has its best product pipeline. As per rumors these include new MacBooks, iPhones with significantly larger displays as well as a wearable device which many know as the iWatch.

Re/code doesn’t say if Apple’s wearable device is indeed a smartwatch, but does claim that it will utilize Apple’s HealthKit and HomeKit frameworks for collecting health data and controlling connected objects, respectively. So if its a smartwatch, not only will it be able to collect health and fitness related data, users will also be able to control smart objects in their home straight from their wrist.

Previously this scribe reported that the wearable device will be released this October. It still doesn’t count out the possibility of a change before September 9th so nothing is set in stone. For all new know next month Apple might only unveil the new iPhone 6 models.
