MOTO-X-OLD-NEW-WHITEIf the rumors are to be believed, there is a good chance the Motorola could be taking the wraps off the Moto X+1 on the 4th of September. So far we have heard some rumors about the handset’s specs, such as its HD display, quad-core processor, and a 13MP rear-facing camera. However thanks to a recent post by Hellomotohk, additional details about the handset have surfaced.

Hellomotohk has had a pretty decent track record for rumors, although their recent claims do seem a little dubious but as is with the case with all rumors, you should probably take it with a grain of salt for now. That being said, Hellomotohk claims that not only will the Moto X+1 feature an optical zoom for its camera, but it is also expected to feature a 3D UI similar to that of the Amazon Fire Phone.

Given that the Moto X featured a UI which was pretty close to stock Android, it does seem weird that Motorola would be jumping the gun and going for something completely new with the Moto X+1. However we suppose at the time of the Moto X’s release, Motorola Mobility was still part of Google.

However with Google selling Motorola Mobility to Lenovo, perhap Motorola Mobility’s new owner has something else in mind. Like we said it’s the claims are a little dubious to approach it with some skepticism, but what do you guys think? Would a 3D UI suit a handset like the Moto X+1?
