Ask someone to name the most popular mobile games and chances are that you will hear about Angry Birds, Candy Crush and Temple Run, apart from many others. The aforementioned games are some of the most widely played on mobile devices and one of them is moving to a whole new category. Temple Run VR has been released today which provides players with an endless running experience in virtual reality.
The crux of this game is very simple. Your character has stolen an idol from an ancient temple and now must, quite literally, run for its life. It’s easier said than done because the character is being chased by deadly creatures all while having to navigate tricky situations, while the player navigates to collect the most amount of coins possible.
Now take that experience and mix in some virtual reality courtesy of the Samsung Gear VR. This product was unveiled earlier in the year and it finally became available for customers in the U.S. as Gear VR Innovator Edition. This virtual reality handset requires a Galaxy Note 4 to function so that will be an added expenditure if you want to take advantage of VR technology.
