amiiboIt’s interesting that despite an analyst predicting that the Nintendo Amiibo figurines will be pulling in a lot of revenue for the company, Nintendo has oddly enough decided that some of their Amiibo figurines will be a one time thing and that once they are sold out, there are no plans on bringing them back.

Now it looks like Nintendo could be making would-be customers even more frustrated because according to reports, it seems that Toys R Us have started to cancel Amiibo pre-orders en masse. It is unclear as to why the retailer has decided to do this and if Nintendo could be involved in it.

It could be that these figurines have officially been discontinued which is why the pre-orders have been cancelled as opposed to being delayed, or it could be something else entirely, but for now it is just speculation. So far it seems that the Amiibo figurines that have been affected are those of the Pit and Captain Falcon characters.

We can’t be sure if other figurines have been affected for now, but those two appear to be the common denominator. Hopefully we will hear back from Nintendo or Toys R Us as to why the pre-orders have been cancelled, but if you were looking to get your hands on either character, perhaps you’ll want to try elsewhere for now.
