apple supportNow that Apple officially owns Beats and all of its products, this also means that in the future, support for Beats products will be handled by Apple. Previously back in 2014, Apple still relied on Beats’ outsourced support to handle any inquiries and issues regarding Beats products, but a new report from 9to5Mac claims that this coming week, Apple will extend their support to Beats by Dre hardware.

This support includes web-based chat support meaning that if you’d rather not head on over to an Apple retail store to service your Beats headphones or speakers, you will be able to get an idea of what the problem could be by chatting with Apple’s web-based support first. Granted you will still need to take your product into the store if there is a hardware problem you want fixing, but if it is just for general inquiries or just to get an initial idea of what could be wrong, the web chat could be one way to do it.

The service is expected to kick off on the 23rd of February, Monday, but this has yet to be confirmed by Apple so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt for now. However like we said given that Apple owns Beats, we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple eventually brought Beats into their fold in its entirety, support included.
