For the past few weeks, we have been hearing rumors about Apple’s new Beats earphones called the Beats Studio Buds. For those who were hoping that it might be announced at WWDC 2021, that was not the case, but it looks like Apple has finally unveiled it anyway.

At a glance, were it not for the Beats logo right in the middle of the carrying case, you might have easily mistaken it for the AirPods Pro, but that’s pretty much where the similarities end. This is because the Beats Studio Pro does not feature the use of the stem in the design of the earbuds and is more compact, perfect if you’d rather not make it so obvious that you’re wearing earphones.

They do share some features with the AirPods Pro, like active noise cancellation. It also features IPX4 water and sweat resistance so you can use it at the gym and don’t have to worry about your sweat damaging it. It will last for up to 5 hours on a single charge, and up to 8 if you turn off noise cancellation.

The earbuds also come with 8.2mm drivers and will support hands-free commands like “Hey Siri”. Interestingly enough, they will also play nicely with Android devices and can take advantage of Android’s Fast Pair and Google’s Find My Device. The Beats Studio Buds are priced at $150 and is currently available for pre-order via Apple’s website.
