Remember Halo: Nightfall, the live-action episodic TV series that Microsoft aired only on the Xbox consoles last year? It is now finally available online. Set between Halo 4 and Halo 5, Nightfall was originally released only on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Microsoft had confirmed last month that it would be released as a collection in March so that even if someone didn’t have its console they could still watch it.

Halo: Nightfall is now available for rent or purchase from Xbox Video. It costs $4.99 to rent the series in HD or $14.99 to purchase it. It can also be rented or purchased from the Google Play Store or the Apple iTunes Store.

Produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan the Halo: Nightfall series has also been released on DVD and Blu-ray today. All of the five episodes are merged together into a feature length film. Halo: Nightfall has a runtime of 98 minutes.

The series tell us the story of Jameson Locke who happens to be with the Office of Naval Intelligence. He is described as “a legendary manhunter.” He leads his team to investigate some unusual activity. They get caught in an ambush so the team has to fight to survive and recover an ancient artifact.
