Galaxy-A5-Lifestyle-6According to a rumor from yesterday, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8 is said to feature a 5.7-inch display. This makes it a rather big phone and to some a bit unwieldy. However the good news is that those rumors might be wrong. According to the latest reports, word on the street has it that the Galaxy A8’s display is a more manageable 5.5-inch.

This is according to a recent benchmark obtained by Tablety.pl which puts the phone’s screen at 5.5-inches with a Full HD resolution. Of course it is possible that benchmarks could always be faked, although the question is why bother? After all it isn’t as if the phone was a high-profile device like the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 or the iPhone 6s/6s Plus, but we suppose it’s best taken with a grain of salt all the same.

The rest of the phone’s specs on the benchmark also seems to be in line with what we have heard, which includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 16MP and 5MP cameras, and will come with Android Lollipop preinstalled. Unfortunately there’s no telling when Samsung will make the handset official, but given that the next product launch of Samsung will most probably be at IFA 2015, we suppose we can look forward to additional details then, if not earlier.
